Summer Top in Ice Yarn

I made this for my friend Julie ready for her holiday to Turkey in July. The yarn that I used is Ice Yarns Shine Chain and the pattern is Flutter Sleeve Top from Fabulous Flirty Crochet book by Katherine Lee. I have made this top before for my niece but I altered the neckline on both versions as the pattern divides for the V just above the flower which is way too low even for the bold. The yarn was very shiny and silky which made it a little difficult to crochet with. The stitches kept slipping off the hook so this top has taken me far longer than I expected to complete it.

My friend Julie is a lover of all things sparkly so I can see the centre of the flower being adorned by a glittering button or a brooch to give the top a bit of bling.

No guesses needed for who this Ice yarn order is for. The green is for me when I have time to make something for myself. The glittery yarns are for holiday tops for Julie.

I have been deciding which pattern to use  for my Abakhan  challenge and I am ready to make a start later today.

Beautiful top, a nice sparkly button would set it off nicely.
Can't wait to see what you make for your Abakhan challenge.
